Benmarine Services Wins 3 Prestigious Awards at the 2018 Ghana Shippers Awards
The second edition of the Ghana Shippers Awards was held to celebrate individuals and companies that are playing a significant role in the growth and development of the Ghanaian shipping industry. The awards seek to recognize shipping companies which have effectively and efficiently managed Ghana’s commercial shipping and to protect and promote the interests of shippers.
The awards night and dinner was held on Friday 22nd June, 2018 at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra and brought together most of the key stakeholders within the shipping and maritime industry as well as agencies under the Ministry of Transport.
The nominations cut across several industries that contribute to the Ghanaian shipping sector including road transportations, ocean carriers, air transportation, freight forwarding, shipping agents, express services, courier agencies, government agencies, insurance, financial institutions and more. Out of the 93 companies who participated in this year’s event, Benmarine Services Ltd. was nominated among the list of formidable players who are making applaudable contributions in 5 key categories: The Emerging Brand of the Year, Excellence in Marine Inspection & Surveys Award, Execellence in HSEQ Award, Customer Service Award, and the Marine Services Provider of The Year categories.
After a rigorous assessment by a team of technical experts from the Ghana Shippers Authority and independent consultants, we emerged winners of 3 prestigious awards: The Emerging Brand of the Year, Excellence in Marine Inspection & Survey and the Special Recognition Award which went to our CEO Eng. Bernard Lomotey Agbloe.
